Daniel Hodges Named to NRF’s 2027 Retail Voices

Daniel Hodges, CEO of Consumers in Motion Group, has been named to the 2027 Retail Voices by NRF, the National Retail Federation’s spotlight program created in partnership with RETHINK Retail.

The 2027 class recognizes leaders across retail and consumer packaged goods whose experience and public work are shaping how the industry moves forward. Voices are featured on NRF’s site and will be celebrated at NRF 2027: Retail’s Big Show, January 10–12, 2027, at the Javits Convention Center in New York. New this year, the program also includes a year-round community, extending the recognition beyond the show itself.

Selection was run jointly by RETHINK Retail and NRF, with NRF holding final say, from hundreds of nominations for a cap of 50 participants.

Hodges and his team have stayed on the practical edge of AI for retail and CPG, exploring how the infrastructure is designed, including data-center decisions that determine what models can actually run at scale, as well as the ethics of deploying those systems where shoppers, associates, and brand data meet.

The through-line is the same one Consumers in Motion Group has used in the field: innovation only counts if it changes what happens on the floor and in the supply chain, not just in a pilot deck.

AI Five Years from Now: 2027–2031 is Hodges’ featured keynote. The presentation looks at how AI will change the nature of work, healthcare optimization, consumer behavior, and business.

By 2031, the biggest transformation may not be artificial intelligence itself. It may be the reinvention of human work. The most successful organizations will not necessarily be those with the most AI. They will be organizations that understand how to combine human creativity + AI intelligence + human judgment + machine execution.

Consumers in Motion Group has programs at NRF Retail’s Big Show in New York and Singapore, CES, Mobile World Congress, ANTAD, IBC, NAB, Fancy Food Show, Toy Fair, Fashion Week, and New York City Tourism + Conventions.
