Lincoln Road Mall

Lincoln Road was once the main Miami thoroughfare between the Atlantic Ocean and Biscayne Bay. In the 1950s, however, a seven-block stretch close to South Beach was redesigned in the Miami Modern style, including gardens and fountains, and closed to traffic, creating one of the nation’s first pedestrian shopping malls. The result is an open-air shopping experience replete with striking Art Deco architecture, lush landscaping and a constant parade of interesting people (and dogs).
